NGA Hosts Pre-Winter Briefing for Regulators
On Friday, November 14th, the Northeast Gas Association (NGA) hosted the 2025 Pre-Winter Briefing for Regulators. This annual briefing is open to government and regulatory officials from across the northeast, including from state and local regulatory offices, ISO – New England, New York ISO, PJM and the Northeast Power Coordinating Council, to discuss the gas industry’s winter preparedness across the Northeast.
The forum featured updates from NGA and our partners in the LNG and pipeline sectors, highlighting the collaborative efforts required to ensure reliable energy supply during the critical winter months.
We extend a special thanks to our member companies—Enbridge, Portland Natural Gas Transmission System, Kinder Morgan, Inc., Millenium Pipeline, Iroquois Gas Transmission System, L.P., Excelerate Energy, Repsol, Constellation, and Northeast Energy Center—for their invaluable contributions to the event and their ongoing commitment to energy security in the region.

NGA Stands Up Gas Supply Task Force
NGA's Gas Supply Task Force (GSTF) has also scheduled its first meeting of the year for Novemer 21, 2025. The GSTF, is made up of LDCs from across the Northeast, as well as interstate pipelines, and LNG & CNG importers and transporters. The GSTF also welcomes representatives, including representatives of natural gas producers in the Marcellus region, and the American Gas Association. The GSTF works to support coordination and communication amongst the gas industry to ensure gas demand is met throughout the winter. The Gas Supply Task Force provides regional and federal regulators, ISO-NE, ISO-NY, and PJM with regular updates to ensure communication and transparency across all relevant stakeholders.
