Empowering Success: Women's Leadership Symposium

SGA & NGA present the inaugural Women’s Leadership Symposium, Empowering Success: From the Field to Finance from the Control Room to the C-Suite. Non-Traditional Careers of Successful Women in Natural Gas.

Event Summary

Successful careers are rewarding, help you achieve financial stability, and make a difference in the world around you. Contributing to this definition is having the flexibility to integrate work and life successfully. Your successful career may differ from how others define success, and this symposium celebrates those unique careers women have forged in the natural gas industry.

Keynote Address: Steve Donahue, best-selling author of Shifting Sands, who will address “Navigating the Shifting Sands of Success.”

Industry Keynote: Barbara Clemenhagen, Executive Director, Gulf Power Association, will lead an inspiring keynote session, “Trailblazing Leadership: Insights & Strategies from a Pioneering Woman in Energy,” following her remarkable journey as a trailblazing leader in the energy industry.

Symposium Objectives

  • Skill Development – leadership skills defining success in communication, negotiation and strategic thinking
  • Empowerment – providing awareness, tools, and inspiration to succeed in a variety of roles in the natural gas industry
