Plastic Pipe Joining Committee Approves Revisions for the 2026 Plastic Pipe Joining Manual

The NGA Plastic Pipe Joining Committee convened on October 16 in Saratoga Springs, NY, to approve revisions for the 2026 edition of the NGA Plastic Pipe Joining Manual. Compared to the more substantial updates in the 2025 edition, this year's changes are relatively minor, with the most significant being PHMSA's adoption of ASTM F2620-20ae2, effective January 10, 2026.

The committee also wrapped up testing on butt-fusing pipe to poly valves, in a project spearheaded by GTI Energy.
