NGA's Alana Daly Moderates Key Panel at NECA Fuels Conference
NGA’s Vice President of Communications & Public Policy, Alana Daly was proud to participate in the 2025 Fuels Conference, hosted by the Northeast Energy and Commerce Association (NECA) on September 30 in Marlborough, MA. Alana moderated a featured panel, Delivering the Future: Pipeline Innovations in the Northeast. In her opening remarks, Alana set the stage by underscoring the importance—and complexity—of natural gas in the region’s energy landscape:
“Natural gas has long been a cornerstone of the U.S. energy system—and nowhere is its role more vital, yet more complicated, than here in the Northeast. It heats our homes, fuels industry, supports electric grid reliability, and increasingly serves as a flexible partner to intermittent renewables.”
Alana was joined on the panel by Natalie Cooper Grindle of Williams, Christopher Stutz of Iroquois Gas Transmission System, L.P., Michael J Dirrane of Enbridge and Rob Mosher of Interstate Natural Gas Association of America.
The panel addressed a wide range of critical issues, including:
-
Infrastructure expansion and permitting challenges
-
State and federal regulatory shifts
-
Winter readiness and reliability concerns
-
Global LNG market dynamics and price impacts
-
Gas-electric interdependence
-
Strategic risks and opportunities on the horizon
We extend our thanks to NECA, as well as the NECA Fuels Committee co-chairs Sara Wilmer of Levitan & Associates and Max Bergeron of Enbridge, for hosting an important and timely forum for energy stakeholders across the Northeast.
