NGA Recognizes PSMS Committee Leaders
NGA recently recognized past Committee Chairs for their outstanding leadership and support over the past several years as NGA has grown it’s collaborative approach to PSMS implementation at a recent meeting of the Committee at National Grids’ Melville Operating Center. Recipients include:
- Jay Jani, Past Committee Chair, Con Edison
- Shana Kane, Past Committee Chair, VGS
- Pat Levesque, Westfield Gas & Electric
In addition, NGA recognized the outstanding support and leadership of Megan Cyr, Eversource Energy, with the PSMS Special Recognition Award. Megan has been a member of the PSMS Collaborative from its inception in 2019 and was instrumental in shaping the committee structure and strategic focus, specifically through her relentless focus on making PSMS principles real in day-to-day operations by bridging tactical and strategic considerations of PSMS. Among her countless contributions to the Collaborative's success, Megan spearheaded development of the NGA PSMS Collaborative Voluntary Information Sharing System (VIS), the first of its kind in the industry where members share near-misses and good-catches in several structured operational areas, development of PSMS engagement tools such as PSMS Tactical Guides, and integration of PSMS principles into the GOS School education offerings. NGA and the entire PSMS Committee would like to acknowledge and thank Megan for her relentless pursuit of PSMS operational excellence as the Collaborative transitions its focus from PSMS implementation to PSMS Sustainability.
