NGA Participates in NYS Gas Pipeline Safety
NGA was pleased to support and participate in the New York State Gas Pipeline Safety Seminar, held September 15–18 at the Lake Ontario Event and Conference Center in Oswego, NY.
Hosted by the New York State Department of Public Service, Office of Electric, Gas and Water, in association with the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA), this important event brought together representatives from across the natural gas industry, state and federal regulators, and vendors serving the sector.
NGA was proud to play an active role in the seminar.
Bob Wilson, NGA’s Vice President of Special Projects, delivered a presentation on Pipeline Safety Management Systems (PSMS) and provided an update on the NGA PSMS Collaborative. His remarks highlighted the importance of continuous improvement, learning from near-misses & good catches, and industry-wide collaboration to strengthen safety culture and performance across our entire region.
In addition, NGA was pleased to support the OQ Roundtable discussion. This important conversation brought together representatives from New York LDCs, labor, contractors, and regulators.
