NGA Emergency Response Committee Hosts Annual Trailer Emergency Response Drill

The annual NGA LNG Transport Trailer Emergency Response Drill was held on Tuesday, September 30th. Eversource Energy hosted this year’s drill at the Ludlow LNG plant located in Ludlow Massachusetts. The drill was attended by over 50 people and featured a tabletop exercise which was led by Jack Boland from the Massachusetts Fire Academy and supported by the Ludlow Fire Department and Trans Gas. This year tabletop provided great discussion between plant personnel, first responders, and transporter. Attendees were actively involved in the drill and were able to interact and ask questions as the drill scenario played out.

These drills are important opportunities for the industry to collaborate and prepare and highlight the our industry’s commitment to safety and preparedness. The NGA would like to thank Brian Normoyle (Superintendent LNG/LPG Eversource Energy) and Ray Mac Whinne (Manager of LNG/LPG Eversource Energy) for hosting this year’s drill and providing a plant tour for attendees.
