Executive Symposium on Supply Chain
The second Executive Symposium on Supply Chain will take place alongside NGA's Fall Operations Conference -- October 10, 2024, Saratoga Springs, NY
The natural gas industry is rapidly evolving to enable the clean energy evolution at the same time that customer and regulator expectations are increasing. In this dynamic environment, utility leaders must understand critical supply chain and technology challenges and the opportunities to pursue change. The morning’s conversations will provide insight on how utility leaders can take advantage of new technology opportunities and understand and navigate the ever-changing supply chain.
The discussion will feature industry leaders from the utility, supplier, and manufacturer sectors discussing the pressing supply chain issues facing the natural gas industry. The first panel discussion, Managing Today’s Complex Supply Chain, will cover resource planning, forecasting, opportunities for standardizing to improve throughput, product approvals, QA/QC, and the need to hardening utility supply chains for Emergency Response. The second panel, Procuring Construction & Professional Services: Overcoming the Challenges, will discuss mandated programs, such as leak inspections, driving effectiveness and compliance through construction inspection, effectively managing contractor or vendor relationship, and workforce development.
