This summer, NGA was fortunate to have three outstanding interns join our team. Each brought their unique background, talent, and perspective to their work—and left a meaningful mark on our organization. As they head back to school or begin the next chapter of their careers, we want to recognize their contributions and say thank you for a job well done.
Waverly Meyers
Senior, Wesleyan University
Waverly is heading into her senior year at Wesleyan University, where she double majors in Psychology and Science and Technology Studies. She’s also a member of the women’s soccer team and serves as a Take Flight Leader, helping first-year student-athletes adjust to college life on and off the field.
This summer at NGA, Waverly worked on a range of projects for the Public Affairs team and Operator Qualifications team. She has helped develop the 2025 Statistical Guide (more details coming soon), conducted research into state legislative and regulatory efforts across the Northeast, and assisted with website updates and internal projects. Her thoughtful approach, diligent work effort, and ability to balance multiple tasks brought real value to the team.
Career Aspirations:
After graduation, Waverly hopes to pursue a career in Communications or Public Relations, where she can combine her passion for human behavior with her academic and athletic experiences.
Fun Facts:
- She’s the youngest of four siblings.
- She was named after a street in New York City!
Kevin Greene
Recent Graduate, Boston College
Kevin joins NGA this summer as a recent graduate of Boston College. This summer, Kevin focused primarily on drafting internal policy and procedure documents and as well as assisting with member management tasks.
Kevin's can-do attitude helped streamline internal processes and added meaningful support to our operations team. After this summer, Kevin hopes to work in business operations roles within the energy industry, which aligns well with his hands-on experience this summer.
Career Aspirations:
Kevin hopes to land a Business Operations or adjacent role within the energy industry
Fun Facts:
- He has driven nearly every mile of I-90.
- He skied an impressive 101 days this past winter.
Paxton Meyers
Master’s Student, University of Connecticut
Paxton is in his second year of UConn’s Exercise Prescription Master’s program and is also a pitcher for the Huskies baseball team. He previously earned his undergraduate degree in Health and Human Biology from Brown University, where he also played baseball.
At NGA, Paxton has supported efforts to build a new resource tracking state climate action plans and their impact on the natural gas industry. His project aims to help NGA members stay informed and learn from each other’s responses to evolving policy landscapes.
Career Aspirations:
Paxton plans to pursue a career in athletic performance training for baseball players.
Fun Facts:
- He’s a classic movie enthusiast.
- He can solve a Rubik’s Cube in under one minute.
