OQ Roundtable Meets at UGI Learning Center

OQ Efficiency Round Table
The OQ Efficiency Round Table brought together Utility Operators, Utility Contractors, and industry partners for an open and collaborative discussion focused on improving the efficiency and effectiveness of Operator Qualification (OQ) programs.
The event provided participants with an opportunity to benchmark current practices, share approaches and strategies, and discuss common challenges and barriers to efficiency. Through candid conversations and the exchange of ideas, participants gained insight into how other organizations structure and manage their OQ programs, including successful approaches and areas where organizations continue to face challenges.
A key focus of the round table was identifying opportunities for improvement, innovation, and collaboration. Participants discussed ways to strengthen existing processes, improve consistency where appropriate, and identify practical solutions that can benefit both individual organizations and the industry as a whole.
The event also provided an opportunity to connect with peers outside of the formal round-table discussions. An evening social event gave participants the chance to relax, have some fun, and build relationships with colleagues from across the industry. These informal conversations helped strengthen the connections and collaboration that are essential to sharing ideas and advancing common goals.
Participants also had the opportunity to tour the impressive UGI Utilities Learning Center and experience industry demonstrations including digital and traditional welding radiography. The demonstrations provided a valuable look at the evolution of inspection technology and offered an opportunity to see these methods in practice.
Overall, the OQ Efficiency Round Table was a valuable combination of industry collaboration, knowledge sharing, hands-on learning, and relationship building. By bringing together diverse perspectives and experiences, the event encouraged participants to learn from one another, identify opportunities for improvement, and continue working together to advance OQ programs and support operational excellence and regulatory compliance.
