NGA to recognize committees and volunteers on website and in newsletters

NGA is excited to announce that we are launching a new volunteer recognition program. This program will take two forms:

1) Each newsletter, NGA will include an article highlighting the efforts and activities of one of our committees. Below, we have included an update on NGA’s Board of Directors.

2) NGA has begun the process of identifying our longest serving committee members. By the end of the year, we will launch a new webpage highlighting NGA members who have volunteered on committees or in other roles for 5, 10, 15, or 20 and more years.

NGA could not function without the dedicated efforts of the volunteers who serve on our Board of Directors and Committees. Their efforts have made our industry a better place to work and our region’s energy systems safer and more reliable. We are excited to show our thanks.

Recognizing the Board of Directors

The first committee we are pleased to recognize in our volunteer recognition series is NGA’s Board of Directors.

NGA’s Board of Directors is responsible for the oversight and governance of the Northeast Gas Association. The Board of Directors is made up of representatives from NGA’s regular LDC members, gas transmission and LNG import members. There are also several board members from our associate member companies and a research member company.

The board is comprised of several committees including a Nominating Committee, a Budget and Dues Committee, a Benefits and Compensation Committee, an Auditing Committee, and an Executive Conference Committee.

The Board of Directors meets quarterly, or as needed for the good of the association.

The Board of Directors is led by Chair, Caroline Hon, National Grid, and Vice Chair, Michael Colpoys, National Fuel.

Thank you to all of the members of the Board of Directors for their leadership, vision and commitment to NGA’s success.
