NGA Joins AGA, Other Associations in Letter to DOE Supporting Access to Affordable Water Heaters and Furnaces
NGA Signs On To Coalition Letter Supporting Access to Affordable Natural Gas Appliances
On May 27, the American Gas Association (AGA) submitted a coalition letter to the Department of Energy (DOE) regarding the DOE's regulations pertaining to energy efficiency standards for residential natural gas and propane furnaces and commercial water heaters. The AGA letter urged DOE to take actions to preserve access to affordable natural gas appliances, including extending compliance deadlines and establishing specific product classes, which would ensure homes and businesses have access to the appliance options that meet their needs.

NGA was pleased to join with AGA and other associations in supporting these regulatory revisions to maintain energy affordability and preserve energy choice.
