The Northeast Gas Association (NGA) extends its thanks to Board Chair Caroline Hon, Vice President of New England Regulation and Pricing at National Grid, for representing the Northeast natural gas industry before the National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL) Energy Supply Task Force earlier this month.

The NCSL Energy Supply Task Force brings together legislators from across North America to examine critical energy policy issues and discuss strategies for maintaining reliable, affordable, and resilient energy systems.

During her presentation, Hon provided legislators with valuable perspectives on the unique energy challenges and opportunities facing the Northeast, including how infrastructure, supply, and public policy impact energy affordability in our region – especially during periods of extreme weather.

As Chair of NGA's Board of Directors, Caroline has been a strong advocate for collaboration across the region's energy sector. This past winter, she also chaired NGA's Gas Supply Task Force, which brings together local distribution companies, interstate pipelines, LNG providers, and other industry stakeholders to support communication and coordination throughout the heating season. In her role as Task Force Chair, she was a leader in dealing with the extreme weather we experienced this past winter.

We are proud to see Caroline representing the Northeast energy industry before policymakers. Her leadership helps ensure that legislators have access to practical, real-world insights about the importance of reliable energy supply and how limited supply can impact costs.

Thank you, Caroline, for your continued leadership and for representing our industry so effectively.
