We are pleased to announce that Andrew Lu, Vice President of Operations & Engineering Services at the American Gas Association (AGA), will deliver the Day 2 Keynote Address at NGA’s Fall Operations Conference.

Andrew’s keynote, “The Dynamic Regulatory Environment,” will explore the evolving role of PHMSA under the current administration and leadership. With shifts in priorities at the federal level, Andrew will share valuable insights into the regulatory environment—what we are seeing today, what may be expected ahead, and the implications for our industry moving forward.

Andrew Lu is AGA’s Vice President of Safety, Operations & Engineering. He has worked at AGA for 23 years, after spending 8 years working in natural gas operations for a Michigan-based combination utility . During his time at AGA, Andrew has been instrumental in advocating on behalf of the natural gas industry. In his role, he leads AGA’s efforts to deliver on the membership’s Commitment to Enhancing Safety, particularly those that align closest with pipeline safety, PSMS implementation, and damage prevention. He is passionate about the natural gas industry and is grateful to represent the hard-working people who are responsible for delivering this essential and life-sustaining energy to the millions of homes and businesses who count on it every second of every year. Andrew graduated from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor with an MBA and a BS degree in Engineering.

Given Andrew’s deep engagement with PHMSA and the broader federal landscape, he is uniquely positioned to provide timely perspective on this important topic. We look forward to his keynote as a highlight of this year’s conference.
