The Northeast Gas Association is excited to announce that Michele Leone, Vice President of Gas at Rhode Island Energy, will headline our Fall Operations Conference continuing our fireside chat keynote series.
In her role as Vice President of Gas, Michele Leone is responsible for the safe, reliable, and cost-effective operation of Rhode Island’s natural gas distribution system. She oversees natural gas supply procurement, gas control, resource and investment planning, gas asset management and engineering, and operation of the gas distribution system and RIE’s liquified natural gas facilities. Michele has 25 years of experience in the New England utility business, holding various leadership roles on gas, electric, environmental, and sustainability teams. Michele holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering from Syracuse University and a Master of Science in Environmental Engineering from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor. Michele is a member of the 2016 Leadership Rhode Island Core Program and has served on the Leadership Rhode Island Board of Governors since 2018.
