NGA TECHNICAL TRAINING

PARTNERSHIP WITH GTI

NGA and GTI – the Gas Technology Institute – are offering NGA member utility companies the opportunity to provide Certified Operations Training (COT) to their personnel.

GTI’s COT is a multi-level program that offers fundamental and advanced training to natural gas field employees.  It consists of multiple topics and modules in three skill levels.

In 2008, NGA and GTI offered several Operations Technician Training Courses, addressing such key areas as damage prevention, pipeline maintenance and repairs, corrosion, and meter and regulator installation.

In 2009, NGA and GTI are ready to offer a wide range of programs at customer requests.  The programs are designed to be offered in week-long increments, or in 2 or 3-day formats.

The training classes are held at the facilities of participating utilities.  Each class must have at least 10 students but no more than 15.

If you are interested in having your gas utility participate, please contact José Costa or NGA at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it .
