"Distribution Integrity Management" (also known as "DIMP") is a regulation of the U.S. Department of Transportation’s (DOT’s) Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA).  A final rule was released in December 2009.

NGA and the Southern Gas Association (SGA) announced the development of a joint collaborative to develop a framework document which would provide a foundation and the guidelines for a distribution integrity management plan. The partnership is based on a similar arrangement that the two organizations used in the past for the successful development of a joint Transmission Integrity Management Plan. Structural Integrity (SI) was selected as the contractor to develop the document under the direction of the collaborative.
